Review: Mac Studio finish concealer NC25

Mac Studio finish concealer

Hello prettyfollowers =)  I have facial scars (pitted scars actually) so I need a good concealer to cover them up. Unfortunately I am not good in putting a concealer. I need to practice a lot.  Nonetheless, I purchased this product because of the good reviews I read in the internet.  The quality of this product is really good. However, with improper application by a make-up newbie like me, it can really get cakey which is irritating. The reason is because it is quite creamy and thick in the skin if applied incorrectly. I really do not like the product but I do not hate it either. It is quite expensive though at almost P1,000 (USD23) in Rustans, Glorietta.  I sparingly use this product. I bought the item 2 years ago but as you can see, there is still a lot left. With the steep price, I do not think I will repurchase.
Rating: 3/5.

Review: Revlon Colorstay Eyeliner pencil in black

Revlon colorstay eyeliner pencil in black

I have a pretty protruding/prominent eyes hence I need make-up to cover my eyelids. Thus, the reason why I need a good eyeliner.

I honestly love this eyeliner black pencil from Revlon. It is very long lasting and does a pretty good job in lining the eye without hurting the eye itself. The color is so opaque that a little application goes a long way. I bought this product in 2012 but still even after few usage, the pencil still looks new. Woud love to repurchase the product. I forgot the actual price but I am pretty sure that it is less than P1,000 (USD 20). Got this from Revlon counter at SM Makati.  Rating: 5/5

Hello pretty followers! I am sorry that it took me a while to update this blog due to my busy schedule. But I eventually posted an entry today because I believe this is my little contribution to the netizens - that is to give my short and honest review of the beauty products I bought personally for my consumption. I may not be good in technical English grammar but this will not stop me from posting at this blog. So in the next few days I will be reviewing several products that I bought from the mall. I know a lot of you would like to check for feedbacks before getting any product to avoid wastage of money.  Keep supporting this blog guys! Thank you in advance! =)

Ever Bilena blush powder - Pink Petal

Although the color of this blush powder (which is bright pink) looks really pretty on the cheeks (instant glowing aura, I swear!) the quality and the staying power of this product, however, are, sad to say, quite poor.....As you can see in the photo, the container broke. I'm having a hard time putting this on as it gets really messy....But since I really love the effect on the face I still use it often....I am currently on a search of a similar color but of high quality powder blush...I really would not mind if it would  cost higher as long the effect is the same....I bought this from Watsons at approximately Php100 (USD3). Purebeauty Tsubaki Hair Oil

I love this product from this brand. At first I was hesitant in buying this item as I have not tried any of their products before. I got curious that they already have a complete line of hair products: shampoo, conditioner, hair mist (the one which is water based, forgot the name) and this hair oil. Since I have super damaged and frizzy hair I decided that I might as well try their hair oil. And so I did.

The verdict? Well, I am pretty impressed. I love the effect because it is not greasy at all and not heavy on the hair. It could really tame the frizziness of your locks plus I like the fact that it is also a hair treatment. Another positive thing about this product is the scent. I can apply this on my hair all day without getting conscious that the scent will become overpowering. Overall I would repurchase this product.

The photo of the empty bottle below is a proof that I need to replenish na. =) Got this from Landmark, Makati. Rating 4/5

Review: Revlon Colorstay liquid foundation in buff - 24 hrs

This is my staple foundation. It is long-lasting, covers my blemishes well and does not irritate my acne-prone skin. One bottle contains 30ml of product.
It took me 6 months to finish my first bottle. My first encounter with this product, however, was disappointing because I got the wrong shade with sand beige. But after few misses, I finally found my shade in buff. Buff is suitable to those who have yellow undertone while sand beige has slight pink undertone. Since I have warm undertones, buff fits me perfectly. I am nc 25 in mac by the way. It is also reasonably priced at Php825 (USD20). Bought this from Watsons, SM Makati. Rating: 4/5

Review: Etude House Easy Brow Pencil

This is just an ordinary eye pencil to me. Nothing really special. The staying power is not that impressive. What attracted me to buy this product is the brand itself and the cute packaging. I thought this is better than the low-end products because it is quite expensive for an eyebrow pencil but unfortunately its performance is not that convincing. The pencil has a brow brush at the bottom which makes it practical though if you want to groom your brows. Forgot the price of this product. Bought this from SM Makati. Rating: 3/5

Review: 4U2 Envy Radiance Powder

This powder is definitely my favorite. I have tried several powders before from low to high-ends but this is by far the best powder for me. I love the texture of the powder. It is very fine and gives the face a true satin flawless finish. There is really no need to apply foundation if you apply this on. It is true to its name, the skin remains radiant and glowing. One unique thing about this is that the one for dry skin perfectly matches or suits my oily skin. It is kind of weird though but I really like the effect. I highly recommend this product. Bought this from SM Department Store. Rating: 5/5

Review: Monea Hair Coat by Swallow

The quality of this product is good. It gives the hair the needed moisture without the heavy or greasy feel. One thing that I do not like about this product though is the smell. I really cannot stand the scent when applied to the hair. This is the reason why I seldom use this. It is cheap at less than Php100 (USD2). Bought it from Watsons. Rating: 3/5

Review: Careline Cheek Tint in Berry Red

I am impressed with how this product delivers. I like the idea the I can use it not only as a blush but also as a lipstain. The color is just right if you apply with a light hand. It is pretty long lasting. Bought it at less than Php100 (USD2) from Mercury Drugstore. Rating 4/5

Review: Paint Box by Herbench

I do not like this product at all. Bought this cheek tint few years ago that I can no longer recall the price. As you will see in the photos, there is still a lot left for I do not really use this anymore. I find it sticky and difficult to apply on the cheeks and it gets blotchy as well. I would not repurchase this product. Purchased this from Herbench outlet. Rating: 1/5

Review: Nichido Powder Blush in Peach Glow

I bought this product due to some good reviews I read in the internet. I like the touch of peach in this blush. Although sometimes I need to swipe more to bring color to my cheeks, I love the product nonetheless. This is my alternative if I do not feel like wearing pink blush. It is also cheap at less than Php100 (USD2). Bought it from Landmark. Rating 3/5

Review: In2it Waterproof Blush in 03 Sensation

I am not a fan of this blush. It claims that it is waterproof yet it is not long lasting. It is also not highly pigmented, need to swipe the blush brush several times before I see the product on my cheeks. It is also difficult to choose the right shade because the counter has limited shades only. Got this shade because it is the one recommended by the sales lady. Bought at SM Dept. Store. Cost is Php300 (USD7) Rating: 2/5

Review: Ever Bilena lipsticks in Pink flame and scarlet

When it comes to affordable but quality matte lipsticks I think no brand could beat Ever bilena. I have the shades in pink flame and scarlet. Love them both. Pink flame has sweet gentle light pink shade, perfect if you want to have that innocent look. Scarlet on the other hand has a deep orange-reddish shade, appropriate if you want to have the so-called glamorous look. Love this shade on me as I have a fair skin. The shade would instantly brighten my face. One weakness of this product though is that it is drying on the lips. Thus, you need to apply lipbalm before putting this on. Over-all I would highly recommend these lipsticks. Cost is
P120+ each (USD4). Rating: 4/5.

PS - pardon the quality of my photos and the poor lighting. Really need to get a new camera soon.

Review: Elf Two-Way Cake Foundation

This a product from elf that I really like and currently using. This is my second purchase already. It has good coverage and covers the facial blemishes without being heavy. It's a bit chalky but it covers well and it has a yellow undertone. I also love the fact that it did not irritate my acne-prone skin. It is inexpensive at P250+ (USD6).Bought it from Landmark. Rating: 4/5

Review: Ever Bilena Advance 3D Compact

This is just a so-so product for me. I bought this primarily as my contouring powder. I got the darkest shade which is the Dark Baked Fusion. The compact contains 3 shades of brown with a matte finish. It is inexpensive at P135 more or less (USD5). But it does not last long on me. The product is just good for 2 hours. Bought it at Landmark. Rating: 2/5
